Linda Birnbaum from National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) said, “The finding of reduced mortality suggests that vegetation may be important to health in a broad range of ways.”

8,604 instances were observed throughout the study and the conclusion was drawn after analyzing 108,630 women.
