WASHINGTON/BEIJING: Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, talked on phone Friday (17th Jan, 2025).
They vowed to take a positive approach to improving ties between the two countries. Xi said that he hoped for a good start in terms with the President-Elect Donald Trump.
Trump stated that it was his expectation that US and China would solve many problems together and start immediately.
It may be recalled that during his election campaign Trump said that he would impose ten percent tariff in addition to existing tariff on Chinese products.
