ORLANDO: Seems the coronavirus outbreak around the world can’t stop WWE events from taking place. In the world where all kinds of sporting activities have been postponed, WWE is ready to hold Wrestlemania and other wrestling events as per schedule.
the WWE administration announced that the Wrestlemania and other WWE events will take place despite the fears of COVID-19. However, it said that the flagship event WrestleMania would be moved to a closed facility where only the performers and the staff would witness the bouts.
It also announced that the WWE’s RAW and Smackdown events are being aired every week.
In an interview, WWE’s chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon said they were taking every possible measure to protect all talent and production crew.
“There’s extensive testing and screening when you first come in the facility regardless of whether you’re a talent, a crew member, or anyone else. Working with our doctors, you have your temperature taken. If you have a temperature over 100.4 degrees, you are automatically asked to leave,” said McMahon.
McMahon revealed that those in the staff who have travelled abroad have been barred from entering the WWE facility.
“We have asked them to stay at home and avoid coming in contact with working employees,” she said.
