JOHANNESBURG: In the third and last ODI played here on Sunday (22nd Dec, 2024) Pakistan has beaten S. Africa by 36 runs.
Host South Africa opted to bowl first after winning the toss against Pakistan that scored 308 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 47 overs.

In reply, South Africa were all out at 271 runs in 42 overs. It is pertinent to mention here that due to rain the match had been reduced to 47 overs.

Pakistan had beaten South Africa by 81 runs in the 2nd T20I to win the 3-match series played on Cape Town’s Newlands Cricket Ground on 19th December. Green Shirts, that had defeated South African Cricket Team by 3 wickets in the first ODI too, played at Boland Bank Park (Paarl) on 17th Dec, scored 329 runs in the 2nd ODI off 49.5 overs for the loss of all wickets.
