ISLAMABAD: Following implementation of Faceless Customs Assessment System (FCAM) by FBR, on 16th Dec 2024, in its attempt to end contact between importer and Customs Appraiser, the clearance time of containers has reduced from 108 hours to 66 hours.
According to FBR, since mid Dec FCAM has cleared 4000 consignments in Karachi’s South Asia Pakistan Terminal. has(FCA) System here on Sunday (14th Dec 2024). Collectorates have been established in terms of CGO No.6 of 2024 issued by FBR. FCA System, that is set to induce efficiency and transparency in assessments, also includes a mechanism to give points to officers. The system would be introduced at the upcountry dry-ports and border stations.
