MOSCOW: Ahead of 2025 on Monday (30th Dec, 2024) Russia and Ukraine have swapped 300 PoWs in a deal brokered by UAE.
According to Russian Defense Ministry: “On 30th December, as a result of the negotiation process, 150 Russian servicemen were returned from territory controlled by the Kyiv regime. In return, 150 Ukrainian army prisoners of war were handed over.”
It is pertinent to mention here that since the start of the war in February 2022 Russia had released 3,956 soldiers and civilians.
