MOSCOW: Russia has warned Ukraine on Saturday (4th Jan, 2024) of a retaliation after shooting down a US-provided ATACMS fired by Kyiv a day earlier.
It may be recalled that in 2024 President Joe Biden had allowed Kyiv to use ATMCMS against Moscow: “On January 3, an attempt was made from Ukrainian territory to launch a missile strike against the Belgorod region using US-made ATACMS operational-tactical missiles. These actions by the Kyiv regime, which is supported by Western curators, will be met with retaliation“.
Drone attacks:
Following the Ukraine’s massive drone attack on a luxury apartment block in Kazan on 21st Dec, 2024 Putin vowed to bring more destruction to Kiev in retaliation.
Putin held: “Whoever, and however much they try to destroy, they will face many times more destruction themselves and will regret what they are trying to do in our country.”
According to reports due to the drone attack only three people sustained minor injuries as pieces of shattered glass hit them.
It may be recalled that Ukraine had tried to attack Moscow with a drone on 19th of Dec, 2023 but its defence system destroyed the unmanned aerial vehicle with debris falling outside the centre of the capital.
