KARACHI: Ships, aircraft, special operations forces, EOD marine teams, and observers from 60 countries are participating in the 9th edition of the five-day multinational Maritime Exercises (AMAN-25) and the maiden AMAN Dialogue scheduled to commence here on Friday (7th February, 2025).
Chiefs of Navies, Coast Guards, and Defence Forces will converge in the Metropolis to exchange notes on shared global and regional maritime issues figuring out safe and sustainable procedures, share experiences, and collectively address threats. The primary objective of this exercise is to bring maritime nations together to adopt safe and sustainable procedures, share experiences, and collectively address maritime threats.
According to details 4000 personnel from 60 countries will converge here to attend the Multinational Naval Exercises AMAN 2025 from 7th till 11th Feb 2025.
Visitors are scheduled to bring ships, aircraft and personnel including special forces, marines and explosive ordnance disposal specialists. 120 delegations comprising military leaders from all over the globe are slated to speak at the first-ever AMAN dialogue, pondering over maritime security threats.
“A key feature of this year’s exercise will be the Aman Dialogue, where Chiefs of Naval Forces, heads of Coast Guards, and senior leaders from around the world will convene to discuss regional maritime security and devise joint strategies to counter evolving maritime threats,” informed the PN.
Pakistan Navy held: “…during the harbour phase, activities such as seminars, operational discussions, counter-terrorism demonstrations, and pre-sail planning of evolutions at sea will be held…
“The sea phase would include tactical manoeuvres, exercises related to maritime security such as anti-piracy and counter-terrorism, search and rescue, gunnery firings and air defence exercises….the sea phase will also include the international fleet review, attended by national and foreign dignitaries.“
Pak Marines and the SSG (Navy) will demonstrate their counter-terrorism skills…then joint operations against maritime crimes would also be practised at sea.
“The motto of the Aman series, ‘Together for Peace’, reflects its core mission, while this year’s theme, ‘Secure Seas; Prosperous Future’, emphasizes the importance of maritime security for global prosperity.”
