LONDON: While Thump is raging the Tariff War, following three years of parlays, India and United Kingdom (UK) agreed a trade deal Tuesday (6th May, 2025) that would augment the volume of bilateral trade from £42.6bn in 2024 to £ 68.1 by 2040.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said the deal would boost growth and deliver for British people and business. According to details the deal would facilitate UK firms export whisky and cars etc to Bharat. However, it does not include any change in immigration policy. including towards Indian students studying in the UK.
