WASHINGTON: Japan, one of America’s biggest trading partners, is set to invest $550 billion in the USA.
Taking to the Social Media platform Truth, President Donald Trump informed that Japan was set to open its economy to American goods such as cars, trucks and rice.
“We just completed a massive Deal with Japan, perhaps the largest Deal ever made. Japan will invest, at my direction, $550 Billion Dollars into the United States, which will receive 90% of the Profits,” said Trump.
15% tariff would be imposed on Japanese commodities & not 25% as threatened by President Trump earlier. The proclamation was welcomed by the Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishib.
