DALLAS: A sniper died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after killing two detainees and injuring one critically at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility here Wednesday (24th Sep, 2025) morning from roof top of a lawyer’s office across the street.

According to Dallas Police one of the victims succumbed to his injuries: “two people were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds.” Condition of the injured is yet known. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility has been closed: “On September 24, 2025, at about 6:40 a.m., Dallas Police responded to an assist officer call in the 8100 block of north Stemmons Freeway.
“The preliminary investigation determined that a suspect opened fire at a government building from an adjacent building. Two people were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. One victim died at the scene. The suspect is deceased. This is an ongoing investigation, and we hold a media briefing later today.”
Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons took to the X informing that, “shots were fired INTO the ICE office in Texas, where detainees are brought in. All ICE employees are ACCOUNTED FOR. There are confirmed fatalities. Victims appear to be detainees”.
This morning at the Dallas ICE Field Office, there was a shooting resulting in multiple injuries and fatalities. The shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
