GAZA: While Hamas denied their accusation apropos attacks against them and killing of two soldiers, IDF retaliated by launching 20 aerial strikes on Rafah on Sunday (19th Oct 2025).
According to reports, Israeli sorties killed six militants of Qassam Brigades including their field commander Yahya al-Mabhouh.
IDF said Hamas targeted its soldiers a number of times (including rocket-propelled grenade and sniper attacks): “This is a bold violation of the ceasefire”, armed forces maintained. Meanwhile, Israel has halted humanitarian aid into Gaza Strip until further notice.
The latest skirmishes have shattered hopes of citoyens battered by 2-year-long war. They were expecting that two-weeks old Trump-mediated fragile ceasefire would ultimately translate into lasting peace in the Middle East.

It may be recalled that some twenty regional leaders converged at Sharm El Sheikh on Monday (13th of October, 2025) to witness signing of Israel-Gaza Ceasefire Deal signed by the United States President Donald Trump, President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Erdogan has one of the most powerful armies in the world. He is much more powerful than he lets known.
He won many conflicts but he does not want any credit. He wants to be left alone.
He’s a tough cookie, but he’s my friend and always there when I need him.… pic.twitter.com/L18J6QbMt3
Host of the Summit, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el Sisi, stated: “I would like to thank our partners US, Türkiye and Qatar for their dedicated efforts; Egypt will work with US in coordination with partners in coming days to lay foundation for reconstruction of (Gaza), and we intend to host an early recovery, reconstruction and development conference; Gaza ceasefire provides last chance for peace.” Cynics go haywire wondering what exactly they signed!

President Trump, while addressing the Israeli members of Parliament stated: “This is the historic dawn of a new Middle East.” Calling PM Benjamin Nethanyahu a man of exceptional courage, he went on to thank the Arab nations who helped with (Gaza Truce) negotiations. He predicted that the coming era will not only be Israel’s golden age but also the golden age for the whole region. “At last, not only for Israelis but also Palestinians, the long and painful nightmare is finally over.” He said that after the end of Israel-Hamas war he will focus on ending the Russia-Ukraine war.
