GAZA: As part of the 1st Phase of Peace Deal signed at Sharm El-Sheikh, Hamas and all other key political factions of Palestine have agreed on Friday (24th Oct, 2025) to handover the administration of the Strip to a temporary Palestinian committee composed of independent technocrats.
During a meeting in Cairo, according to a joint statement published on the Hamas website, the groups agreed to hand over Gaza to a committee that would manage the affairs of life with cooperation with Arab brothers and international institutions. The factions had agreed to work on unifying a common position “to confront the challenges facing the Palestinian cause”.
Israel has identified bodies of four slain hostages (Guy Illouz, Yossi Sharabi, Bipin Joshi & Daniel Perez) returned by Hamas on Mon (13th Oct, 2025).
US President Donald Trump touched down in Tel Aviv, as part of ceasefire agreement, Hamas handed over all 20 living hostages to Red Cross (which then relayed them to the IDF) in two batches of seven and thirteen, here on Monday (13th Oct, 2025).
Hostages released from Gaza had been identified as: Eitan Mor, Gali Berman, Ziv Berman, Omri Miran, Alon Ohel, Guy Gilboa-Dalal, Matan Angrest, Elkana Bohbot, Avinatan Or, Yosef-Chaim Ohana, Evyatar David, Rom Braslabski, Segev Kalfon, Maxim Herkin, Bar Kupershtein, Eitan Horn, Ariel Cunio, David Cunio, Matan Zangauker, Nimrod Cohen.
Gaza Peace Plan: President Donald Trump has taken to the Social Media platform Truth Social on 9th Oct to announce that Hamas and Israel both have agreed to the 1st phase of Gaza Peace Plan proposed by him.
Trump stated: “I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan. This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace.
“All Parties will be treated fairly! This is a GREAT Day for the Arab and Muslim World, Israel, all surrounding Nations, and the United States of America, and we thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, who worked with us to make this Historic and Unprecedented Event happen. BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!“
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu took to the X to state: “With the approval of the first phase of the plan, all our hostages will be brought home. This is a diplomatic success and a national and moral victory for the State of Israel. From the beginning, I made it clear: we will not rest until all our hostages return and all our goals are achieved.
“Through steadfast resolve, powerful military action, and the great efforts of our great friend and ally President Trump, we have reached this critical turning point. I thank President Trump for his leadership, his partnership, and his unwavering commitment to the safety of Israel and the freedom of our hostages.“
Hamas stated: “We highly appreciate the efforts of our brothers and mediators in Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, and we also value the efforts of US President Donald Trump aimed at ending the war completely and achieving a full withdrawal of the occupation from the Gaza Strip.”
