PM Nawaz to leave for UK on Wednesday for medical check-up

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is expected to leave for London on Wednesday, PM house spokesperson said Tuesday.

In a statement, the spokesperson said that PM needs ‘urgent’ medical check-up that’s why he will leave for the UK.

However, some sources claim that PM was suggested to spend a week in London to relieve his ‘stress and anxiety’ because of the situation developed after Panama Papers.

Taunting PM’s sudden visit to the UK, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that it is not any kind of medical check-up for which ‘Mr. PM’ is visiting the UK, it will be a run from the questions faced regarding Panama Papers.

“If he needs a medical check-up, what is the need to take the whole family with you?” Khan asked adding that the PM will be enjoying with family in the UK for the whole week.

“He will probably meet Zardari, touch his feet and request for suggestions to get rid of the investigations of Panama papers,” Khan said.

Panamanian law firm shocked the world by exposing the famous political figures and their offshore assets. It also revealed that PM Nawaz’s family has also offshore assets in foreign countries.
