Cricket: BCB announces 14-member squad for Test against Pakistan

RAWALPINDI: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 14-member squad for the first Test of the two-match series against Green Shirts, scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi from 7th till 11 of this month.

Bangladesh Chief Selector Minhajul Abedin informed that due to security concerns senior batsman Musfiqur Rahim did not come to Pakistan. He said the team was counting on Mominul.

Abedin held: “Like the last two Tests, Mominul will continue to lead the side in the next three Tests. We are depending on him. Conditions there are tough. And Pakistan have quite a few good pacers. We will be up against a difficult challenge.”

Bangladesh Squad: Mominul Haque (Skipper), Tamim Iqbal, Saif Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mahmudullah, Md Mithun, Liton Das, Taijul Islam, Naeem Hasan, Ebadat Hossain, Abu Jayed Chowdhury, Al-Amin Hossain, Rubel Hossain, Soumya Sarkar.
