NCC decides to extend lockdown till 14th of April

ISLAMABAD: National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Coronavirus, with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair, has decided here today to extend the lockdown till 14th of April, 2020 in order to contain spread of the menace of mysterious malady caused by Coronavirus in the country. 

According to details the participants of the huddle noted that current country-wide lockdown had contributed enormously in containing the COVID-19 pandemic effectively. During the meeting it was also decided that goods transport carrying edibles will continue supplying food and medicines all over Pakistan.

Agreeing that it was not time to resume domestic flights, he meeting decided  that 2,000 Pakistani nationals will be brought back through 17 PIA flights from 3rd to 11th of April.

Bringing back Pakistanis stuck in various countries

ISLAMABAD: FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi has informed here today after a huddle, that a Crisis Management Cell has been established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to figure out the modus operandi apropos bringing back the citizens stuck in different countries all over the world.

According to FM the Cell was in contact with Pakistani embassies they had the exact number of Pakistanis abroad. Shah Mehmood Qureshi stated that government had a priority to bring citizens back waiting to return.

FM told that protocol had been exercised and all the 170 passengers of test flight from Thailand were tested and all of them were found negative. He stressed on the necessity of having quarantine and other medical facilities for the coronavirus positive people at airports.

Sources have informed that students and others who happen to have places to live are not treated as top priority by Pakistani administration. Only those who dont have anywhere to go in foreign soil, such as Umra pilgrims waiting at airports,  would be flown back to homeland on priority basis.
