KARACHI: ICC Board has confirmed on Thursday (19th Dec, 2024) that Hybrid Model will be utilised to the Men’s 2025 Champions Trophy.

Following weeks of pondering over the matter and agreement between PCB and BCCI, the Hybrid Model for the 2025 Men’s Cricket Champions Trophy has been approved by ICC. According to the hybrid model matches will be played in Pakistan and Dubai. Meanwhile, PCB and BCCI have also agreed on the issue of T20 World Cup 2026.
Since Pakistan and India will not be going to each other’s terrain, the matches will be played in Colombo. Cricket squads of Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa will vie for the trophy. The same formula of neutral venue will apply for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2028 that will be hosted by Pakistan.
