KP Turmoil: 31 militants neutralized

BANNU/LAKKI MARWAT: Security forces have neutralised 31 militants during two OBIs carried out here in KP on 13th and 14th Sept, 2025.

According to Pakistan military porte parole, fourteen militants were gunned-down during an encounter in Lakki Marwat. An exchange of fire in Bannu claimed lives of seventeen more miscreants.

Attacks on the personnel of LEAs is a common phenomenon in KP. And operations against militants too are regularly carried out. It may be recalled that from 10th till 13th Sept security forces had gunned 45 militants down during three IBO operations carried out in KP.

Ten militants had been neutralised in general area Lal Qilla Maidan, Lower Dir District. The exchange of fire claimed lives of Naik Abdul Jalil, Naik Gul Jan, Lance Naik Azmat Ullah, Sepoy Abdul Malik, Sepoy Muhammad Amjad, Sepoy Muhammad Dawood, and Sepoy Fazal Qayum.

In an exchange of fire during an IBO conducted by the security forces in Bajaur, 22 militants were killed. During another IBO carried out in South Waziristan 13 terrorists were killed by security forces. Intense firing claimed lives of 12 soldiers.

Arms and ammunition were recovered from 45 neutralised militants who had been carrying out terrorist activities against Pakistan. It is pertinent to mention here that Afghan soil is being used by the anti-Pakistan miscreants who carry out attacks after crossing the border.

Unidentified terrorists targeted a govt vehicle on 2nd July in Bajaur claiming lives of Nawagai’s assistant commissioner Faisal Ismail, tehsildar Abdul Wakil, subedar Noor Hakim and constable Rashid, 11 others, who got wounded, were taken to nearby medical facilities.

A day earlier, militants gunned two traffic policemen (Israel and Sanaullah) down when they were travelling from their village to duty on the Ghazni Khel-Long Khel Road near Gul Baz Dehqan. Shooters also snatched official guns from the two slain cops before bolting from the scene of crime. Fifteen terrorists, including ringleaders, were neutralised in two separate IBOs carried out by security forces here on 15th Feb.

According to details, the first IBO was conducted in Hathala (area of Dera Ismail Khan district) during which nine terrorists (including ringleaders Farman alias Saqib, Amanullah alias Toori, Saeed alias Liaquat and Bilal) were neutralised. Those killed were in the LEA’s most wanted list due to their involvement in terrorist activities in the region.

Six militants were slain in the second IBO that was carried out in the general area of Miranshah in North Waziristan district. During the exchange of fire 21-year-old Lahoriite Lt. Muhammad Hassaan Arshaf paid the ultimate sacrifice along with three soldiers [Naib Subedar Muhammad Bilal (39), r/o Dera Ismail Khan district; Sepoy Farhat Ullah (27), r/o Lakki Marwat district; and Sepoy Himmat Khan (29), r/o Momand district].
