JERUSALEM: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu talked to the Media at a joint Presser held here on Monday (15th Sept, 2025).
Netanyahu, while justifying Israeli jets’ 9th Sept strike in Qatar, maintained that every country had the right to defend itself beyond its borders. He said that Hamas top brass would be attacked wherever they were.
It is pertinent to mention here that according to White House, Trump had earlier said that no such attack would be carried out on Qatar’s soil.
Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani joined the congregation converged at Doha’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque 11th Sept to offer namaz-e-janaza of the five Palestinians and one Qatari (Lance Corporal) who were killed by Israel.
Hamas said that the group’s senior negotiating team, led by Dr. Khalil al-Hayya,, gathered in Doha, was targeted by Israel but no leader was hurt. Qatar said it would not tolerate that reckless Israeli behaviour and the continuous tampering with the security of the region.
Taking to the X, Office of the Israeli PM stated: “Today’s action against the top terrorist 0chieftains of Hamas was a wholly independent Israeli operation. Israel initiated it, Israel conducted it, and Israel takes full responsibility.”
