JAPAN NATIONAL STADIUM (TOKYO): 32-year-old Keshorn Walcott, from Trinidad & Tobago (who earned Olympic Gold back in 2012, and a bronze in 2016) claimed the top slot with an 88.16m throw during the ongoing World Athletics Championships (as Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem crashed out of the medal race) here Thursday (18th Sept, 2025).
While Grenada’s Anderson Peters fetched silver with 87.38m, celebrated American Javelin Thrower Curtis Thompson was awarded bronze for his 86.67m throw.

TOKYO: Indian Neeraj Chopra (84.03 meters) finished in eighth place. Tenth place went to the 2024 Olympic Gold Medallist, Pakistan’s star Javelin Thrower Arshad Nadeem, who qualified (by throwing 85.28 meters) for the finals of the 2025 World Athletics Championships alongside eleven others, crashed out of the medal race. His best reached 82.75 meters.
