Her exhibitions were held successfully at Alliance Française de Karachi (2018), the Feminist Library London (2018) and Zari Gallery London (2019). She also attended the Artrooms Fair London 2019 as a guest artist.

Her mediums of choice are acrylics, soft pastel, and charcoal. She stands firm with her message that, “If you have the potential, no disability can stop you.”

Apart from being an artist, Alishba is also an activist, working and creating awareness for the rights of girls with disabilities and promoting inclusive societies. Her efforts for the cause have been recognized by UN-Women Pakistan, making her the first Pakistani to be recognized by the organization.

It is pertinent to mention here that October is internationally Down Syndrome awareness month and We Decide is the theme of World Down Syndrome Day 2020 which is celebrated on 21 March every year.

The Theme ‘We Decide’: All people with Down Syndrome should have full participation in decision-making about matters relating to, or affecting, their lives. Effective and meaningful participation is a core human rights principle supported by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
