Asian Hockey Champions Trophy: Pakistan Clinches Bronze

MOQI HOCKEY TRAINING BASE (China): Pakistan has clinched Bronze in the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy by beating South Korea 5-2 here on Tuesday (17th September, 2024).

While Roman Khan scored one, Hannan Shahid and Sufyan Khan scored two goals each. From South Korean side Jung-Jun Lee netted the ball in the 16th minute and Jihun Yang scored the 2nd goal.

MOQI HOCKEY TRAINING BASE: Sufyan Khan, who was given the Player of the Match Award for converting two penalty corners into goals (finishing the tournament with four goals) maintained: “We are very happy to finish the tournament on a good note. Definitely, it would have been great if we had won yesterday’s match (against China) and played the final against India today but we made a number of errors. Today, we didn’t start very well but during the half-time break, our Head Coach Tahir Zaman shook us up in his own style and instilled confidence that we can bounce back.”

MOQI HOCKEY TRAINING BASE: India lifted the Men’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy beating China 1-0 here on Tuesday (17th September, 2024) after a closely-fought match. Jugraj Singh scored the sole goal.
