HARNAI (Balochistan): An IED attack by unknown militants on a pickup truck carrying laborers in Coal Mines Area PMDC 94 here Friday (14th Feb, 2025), killed ten and wounded six coal miners.
Those killed and injured hailed from KP’s Shangla district. The wounded are being provided medical treatment at Shahrag Basic Health Unit. No militant group have claimed the responsibility so far. It is pertinent to mention here that earlier, mining companies had been either asked by militants not to operate here or pay extortion money for mining in this region. Those who did not pay them had to face consequences in the form of death, destruction of vehicles, machinery and infrastructure of mines.
