OKARA: The first consignment of high breed cattle, imported from Brazil under Special Investment Council (SIFC), has been transported to Okara to be kept in quarantine for two weeks.
The import of Brazilian Cattle is part of Green Pakistan Livestock Initiative (GPLI) formed under the banner of SIFC.
It is expected that due to their superior genetic characteristics local farmers will be able to fulfill their meat and milk requirements.
