SARGODHA: Enraged by rumors that a Christian man (later identified as Nazir Masih) had desecrated the Holy Quran, a mob attacked and severely injured the suspect but failed to lynch him.

The mob burnt his workshop where he used to make shoes and damaged his house situated in the Mujahid Colony here on Saturday (25th May, 2024).

Police claims to have rescued the suspect from lynch mob, bring the situation under control, arrest and book 44 attackers following identification. According to sources few burnt pages of Holy Quran were found near the house of the suspect.
