KARACHI: Cold spell gripped the Port City on Sunday (15th Dec, 2024) night with temperature dropping to 8.9 degree C at Jinnah terminal.
Citoyens of different locales reported experiencing 10 to 12.5 degrees temperatures. It is pertinent to mention here that the feel temperature is lower because of the cold winds blowing from Balochistan.
It may be recalled that in the month of June, 2024 hot weather killed 36 karachiites, 10 bodies of drug addicts were found all over the Metropolis.
Edhi Foundation reported that they had received 427 bodies in 4 days. Meanwhile, the three government hospitals here had confirmed handling 23 bodies.
Cynics go haywire learning that most of the victims of heatwave reside in those areas of the city that experience 12 to 18 hours of outages (loadshedding).
