Contraband worth over Rs. 31 crores 65 lakhs seized by MCC in 6 months

KARACHI: In a Presser held here on Wednesday the officials of Anti-Smuggling Organization Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) of Preventive have informed that in the last six months contraband worth Rs. 316,530,809 have been seized by the organization.

Providing details MCC officials have further informed that on 22nd of October, 2016 a wooden boat fitted with specially designed tanks harboring 26500 liters smuggled Iranian diesel was apprehended in first such operation.  

Other commodities seized include vehicles, launches, boats, narcotics, liquor, cigarettes,  electronic gadgets, mobiles, household goods, clothes, cosmetics and medicines etc.
