Cricket, 2nd Test: Pak dismissed for 154 by WI

MULTAN CRICKET STADIUM: West Indies Cricket Team, that scored 163, dismissed the hosts for 154 in first innings of the 2nd and final Test Match being played here Saturday (25th January, 2025).

At stumps West Indies, that scored 163 runs in the first innings, was leading by 9 runs. Pakistan scored 154 runs.

Noman Ali, who took six WI scalps (for 41 runs), became the first Pakistani spinner to score hat-rick in test cricket. Sajid Khan dismissed 2 for 64 and Abrar Ahmed took a wicket for 24. Debutant pacer Kashif Ali sent Mikyle Louis back to pavilion for four in his first over.

After winning the match skipper of the Green Shirts, Shan Masood, talked to the journalists at a Presser: “We will do what we need to take 20 wickets and win the match. We don’t even play domestic cricket in these conditions. It’s a new thing for us as well. We changed it during the England series because we wanted our team to win. We should appreciate the hard work of our bowlers, who got us 20 wickets consistently.”

In the first innings the Green Shirts scored 230 runs while the the equipe of West Indies managed to muster only 137 runs up. The organisers had to call it a day due to bad light.
