LAUDERHILL (FLORIDA): Pakistan, in its last match of the tournament, has beaten Ireland by 3 wickets (with seven balls remaining) here in the ICC T20I Cup played at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium here on Sunday (16th June, 2024).
Pakistan cricket team won the toss and invited Ireland to bat first that scored 106 runs off 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Player of the Match Shaheen Shah Afridi sent Andrew Balbirnie and Lorcan Tucker back to pavilion just for two runs in the very first over.
It may be recalled that Pakistan, World Cup winners of 2009 and Runners-Up of 2007 and 2022, was beaten by novice US and later by Indian team as a result had to exit the race.
