Cricket, 1st match, tri-nation ODI series: Kiwis beat Green Shirts

QADDAFI STADIUM: New Zealand has beaten Pakistan by 78 runs in the 1st match of the Tri-Nation ODI series played here on Saturday (8th Jan, 2024).

Chasing the 331 target set by New Zealand Cricket Team , Fakhar Zaman, with seven fours and four sixes, scored 84-runs off 69 balls. Babar Azam, who made ten runs, was sent back to the pavilion by Michael Bracewell in the tenth over. Tayyab Tahir’s bat yielded thirty while Khushdil Shah made fifteen runs:

Kiwis landed here Wednesday (4th Feb, 2025) to participate in the 3-nation ODI series scheduled to commence from 8th February. After their Saturday clash in the Walled City of Lahore the Proteas will be playing the second match in the Port City of Karachi on Monday (10th February, 2025). Following the 4 match series, Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa will play in the Champions Trophy that will will begin on 19th Feb, 2025.
