NORTHAMPTON: In the 2nd T20I played between England women’s cricket team and Pakistan here on Friday (17th May, 2024), the hosts defeated the Green shirts to win the 3-match series by 2-0.
With Maia Bouchier’s 30 runs, Alice Capsey’s 31 runs and Nat Sciver-Brunt’s 31 runs England, batting first, scored 144 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 hours.
England faced Nida Dar who sent two batters back to pavilion yielding 33 runs in four overs, Waheeda Akhtar, Diana Baig and Fatima Sana took one scalp each.
Green Shirts, managed to score only 79 runs off 15.5 overs. Spinner Sophie Ecclestone sent three Green Shirts packing yielding eleven runs. Another England spinner Alice Capsey (who later clinched the player of the match watch) claimed two scalps yielding four runs while spinner Sarah Glenn sent two batters to the pavilion yielding ten runs.
