Daesh terrorist nabbed in Karachi

KARACHI: An alleged terrorist affiliated with the extremist group Islamic State (IS), also known as Daesh, was arrested in a joint operation on Friday.

The operation was conducted by the Special Investigation Unit of police and the federal intelligence agency.

“Sikandar Khan has links with terrorists groups and he is affiliated with Daesh,” said a police official. “He had also confessed to his association with banned outfit Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

According to the official, weapons and other material was also recovered from the possession of the suspect.
