DHAKA: Curfew has been imposed here on Saturday (20th July, 2024) after the student-led protests against the government’s job-quota policy claimed 165 lives (including that of several cops) yet the manifestations continue.

(One percent quota is meant for the people with special needs)

Students took to the streets following reinstatement by a court of government job quotas for the successors of the 1971 freedom fighters. Government has suspended the internet and text message services making it difficult for the world to know about the violent clashes that had injured 2500 this week.
