DG ISPR, information minister to hold press conference today

ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt-Gen. Asim Bajwa and Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed will address a joint press conference at 5:00 p.m today (Tuesday).

The duo is expected to formally announce Karachi-like operation in Punjab. Earlier the provincial government has announced operation in the kaccha area to be carried out by LEAs.

Following Lahore park blast that killed 74 men, women and children, Pakistan army has already initiated a concentrated struggle to crush militancy in Punjab. Five raids have been conducted  so far resulting in arrest and death of many terrorists

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, in his address to the nation yesterday, also directed the law enforcement agencies to take strict actions against terrorists and destroy their nests in the province.
