Experts warn against wearing (killer) high heels!

KARACHI: Ladies tend to put on high heels on a daily basis without knowing the detrimental and harmful impacts of this habit.

A novel research here has ascertained that females who have a habit of wearing heels on a regular basis are highly likely to come out with osteoarthritis.

The study demonstrated that whenever women put on heels, they are planting hazardous levels of strain on the joints, which could boost the odds of mounting osteoarthritis prematurely, which could make joints puffy and tremendously excruciating.

In this regard, the study reads: “Killer heels could lead to osteoarthritis in knees, so-called wear and tear arthritis, where damage to a joint causes stiffness and pain. The type of arthritis that wearing high heels can cause is called osteoarthritis, which is the most common form of the condition.”

Due to the higher heels, knees are more prone to be bent as soon as the shoes made its connection to the ground, as a result, putting the strain on the knee joints.

Walking for long could also trigger aches and pains, stress fractures, trapped nerves and augmented wear and tear on the joints and soft tissue etc. high-heels-3Woman wearing polka dot high heels
