ISLAMABAD: As soon as CM KP Ali Amin Gandapur arrived at KP House here on Saturday (5th October, 2024) Para-Military force (Rangers) and Police entered the premises along with a prisoner’s van.

Spokesman of KP Govt Barrister Muhammad Saif, taking to the X (Twitter) has informed: “The KP CM is on bail till 25th October. If arrested, it will be an insult to the mandate of the people of KP, the fake government will have to answer for such unconstitutional and illegal actions.”

Deputy General Secretary of PTI’s KP Chapter Nawaz Mehmood has also confirmed though Gandapur had not been arrested, rangers and Police personnel had detained him inside KP House.

Nawaz Mehmood, PTI KP’s deputy general secretary, also said that Gandapur had not been arrested. However, he said CM Gandapur was detained inside KP House in the capital by law enforcement personnel.

Earlier, PTI’s Omar Ayub Khan, who happens to be the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, took to the X to claim: “CM Ali Amin Khan Gandapur arrested illegally from KP House Islamabad. Rangers and Islamabad Police have breached the territory of KP.”

Sources informed that Gandapur, who faces charges of damaging state assets and misusing resources, was to be taken into custody citing a liquor recovery case (that was registered quite some time ago).

If Gandapur is arrested in the liquor case, this act by LEAs would be reckoned as contempt of court because PHC had granted him a month-long protective bail barring his arrest in all pending cases.

However, Federal Government has denied the news apropos arrest of Ali Amin Gandapur from KP House in Islamabad.
