Ali Amin Gandapur Resurfaces In The KP Assembly

PESHAWAR: The missing Ali Amin Gandapur, CM KP, resurfaced in the Provincial Assembly chamber on Sunday (6th October, 2024) after remaining untraceable for one day.

Addressing the MPAs, amid cheers and applause, Ali Amin Gandapur said that IK was fighting the war of the people of Pakistan. Claiming that 4 crore and 25 lakh people voted for PTI sans the iconic symbol of bat, he asked why his party was not allowed to hold public gathering: “Why are they so afraid? We requested permission for a rally in Lahore, but they didn’t even allow us to hold it at Minar-e-Pakistan. Are we animals? They want us to hold rallies in cattle markets.”

He accused the LEAs of torturing PTI workers in order to prevent them from joining the public rallies. Interestingly, hours before resurfacing of Ali Amin Gandapur, in the evening, the PA of KP had passed a resolution by means of which the concerned authorities were given an ultimatum vis-à-vis his recovery within twenty-four hours. While denouncing the raid on K-P House, Gandapur said it was an attack on the Province’s autonomy: “The K-P House is our property, and they shelled and fired upon it. What gives them the right to treat it like this?”
