DIAMER (GB): Firing by militants at Police vehicle claimed lives of three cops and injured five others here on Monday (13th April, 2026).

According to details, the policemen were deployed at Thor village to obliterate poppy plants. On their way back, militants opened fire at their vehicle. Following exchange of fire continued for many hours.

Slain cops were identified as Abdul Reheem Jami, Muqabil Shah and Hazratullah Musa. Wounded DSP Faqeer Muhammad, Rehmatullah, Nakeel Ahmed, Niamat Saeed and Muhammad Nadir were taken to Chilas RHQ Hospital.

Militants have been killing members of Hazara Shia community too. Unidentified militants had shot three Hazara Shias dead and injured as many in the Hazara town on 12th April 2026.

According to details armed motorcyclists opened fire at the vehicle harbouring members of Hazara community were going back to Hazara Town from Hazarganji vegetable market. Police is treating the incident as a case of target killing. No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Members of Hazara community converged at the Western Bypass and halted the traffic. Concerned authorities persuaded them to disperse, promising swift arrest of killers.

While Shias of Hazara community live in constant fear, members of LEAs and general citoyens too face terror attacks regularly. For instance, twelve militants were neutralised on 5th March, 2026 during an IBO carried out in Harnai area by security forces.

In a separate IBO conducted in Basima district, three militants were shot down during an exchange of fire. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the slain militants who were involved in the terrorist activities.

Militants in Balochistan and KP keep on attacking military as well as civil targets incessantly. The security forces too retaliate constantly. For instance, a car-bomb explosion, carried out by unidentified militants, on 6th of March killed one and injured 19 others (four critically) near Chashma Sarbandki check post on the Bannu–Miranshah Road.
