Green Panel Sweeps KUJ (2024-2025) Elections

KARACHI PRESS CLUB: According to KUJ 2024-2025 polls results, announced here Saturday (26th Oct, 2024) by Election Committee Chairman, Green Panel has clean-swept the elections for the 5th time.

Green Panel nominees won unopposed on all posts: For the next 2 years, Aijaz Ahmed President, Muhammad Nasir Sharif and Rahab Gahu Vice Presidents, Lubna Jarrar General Secretary (the first lady ever to be elected for the post), Talha Hashmi and Rubina Yasmin Joint Secretaries while Yasir Mahmood was elected Treasurer.

Raheel Salman, Rashid Siddiq Qarar, Zohaib Zardari, Ayesha Khan, Taban Zafar, Shireen Jami, Iqtidar Anwar, Mehmood Riaz, Sultan Chaki Soomro were voted to the Executive Council. Delegates elected include GM Jamali, Ghulam Akbar Jafri, Shahid Ghazali, Sheher Bano, Azam Jamali, Rafi Hussain, Kamran Lashari, Waqas Babar, Asghar Azim, Muneer Saqi, Moinullah Shah, Rashid Latif, Musa Raza, Nasr Iqbal, Ehtesham Anwar, Shumaila Nawaz, Aamir Khan, Ghazala Faseeh, Muhammad Akhtar, Ibn-e-Aas and Naeem Baig.

Green Panel Head Hassan Abbas, PFUJ President GM Jamali, newly elected President-elect Aijaz Ahmed and General Secretary Lubna Jarrar addressed the ladies and gentlemen in the audience. Congratulating the Green Panel, Hassan Abbas said that continuous success was a manifestation of the trust of friends: “A new test has commenced for us and the elected office-bearers will have to endeavour harder with more dedication in order to maintain the continuity of this success two years later.”
