MAKKAH: By means of 176 flights 44,000 Pakistanis have arrived in KSA by Thursday (7th May, 2026) to preform Hajj.
These operations will continue till 21st day of May. According to details KSA has allocated a quota of 1,79,210 to Pakistan for 2026. Out of which 1,20,000 are using the government scheme.
Sixty thousand pilgrims will utilize the services of private tour operators, though they offer expensive packages.
KSA uses technology to prevent Hajis from heat: Bewildered by the fact in 2024 extreme heat had claimed 1301 lives of the intended Hajis, the local government attempted to make sure that the tragedy dis not occur again.
Forty KSA agencies and quarter million concerned personnel had been deployed to provide respite from the heat. Meanwhile, KSA had been using Drones and AI in order to enforce regulations and to apprehend violators of the laws (those performing Hajj sans permit).
KSA, that had been using modern tools, had nabbed a number of pilgrims sans papier, who had been incarcerated and fined (upto SR 100,000). Following completion of imprisonment the violators would be sent back to their respected countries and face a re-entry ban for ten years.
