ISLAMABAD: JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has claimed on Thursday (15th of Feb, 2024) that former PM Imran Khan’s government was ousted in the month of April 2022 by means of No Confidence Motion initiated on the directives of general Faiz Hameed and general Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Maulana, who further stated that general Faiz approached him, said that he was personally against the move but had to tow the line in order to shrug the impression off that he saved IK’s government. Later, both former generals Faiz and Bajwa rejected Fazl’s claim.
Interestingly, PDM, that tabled the Non-Confidence-Motion against IK, was headed by Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman himself. Ousted PM Imran Khan was replaced by Shehbaz Sharif who reigned the country for sixteen months before handing it over to Caretakers.
