ISLAMABAD: Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri Saturday said the inauguration of mega development projects by Prime Minister Imran Khan in Balochistan was clear proof of his strong commitment to people of the province.
In a statement, the Deputy Speaker thanked the Prime Minister for inaugurating development projects in Balochistan and said the completion of these projects would end backwardness and start a new phase of progress and prosperity in the province.
Suri termed the inauguration of projects of dual carriage road from Quetta to Zhob, Gwadar airport, Balochistan Health Complex and cardiac centre as historic.
He said completion of the projects would increase business activities in the province, create new job opportunities and would provide best medical facilities to the people.
He also appreciated the start of laying of rail track from Gwadar to Quetta and Quetta to Taftan, ferry service from Karachi to Gwadar and other development projects.
It was top priority of the government to end backwardness of the province and raise living standard of the people, he stressed.
Qasim Suri said in the past, no attention was paid to the progress of Balochistan and intentionally the province was kept backward.
The Prime Minister was keen to development of Balochistan, Suri said, expressing his confidence that the present government led by Imran Khan would not only put Balochistan but the whole country on the road to progress.
