Int’l Women’s Day marked at FUUAST

KARACHI: A training session was held for female students at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal campus of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST).

The Student Advisor Office organized the program on the occasion of World Women’s Day in collaboration with Survival Combat System and Help International Welfare Trust.

Ishtyaq Khan, representative of Help International Welfare Trust, appreciated the role of women.

Ms Faiqa informed the students about the free training. Professor Dr. Muhammad Zahid was also present on this occasion.

Dr. Rubina Mushtaq said that women faced many problems in moving forward, but despite all this, they are proving themselves in every field.

The chief guest of the ceremony, Vice Chancellor FUUAST Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari emphasized on giving equal opportunities to women to advance in every field and expressed determination that all kinds of protection will be provided to the female students in the university.

He said that every daughter coming to the university will be given equal opportunities to move forward with security.

At the end, Student Adviser Dr. Sadia Khalil thanked all the participants and presented the shield to the guests.

On this occasion, a walk was also organized under the leadership of Sheikh-ul-Jamia Prof. Dr. Zayla Khan Shinwari.
