ISLAMABAD: An observer of the Inter-Parliamentary Union* (IPU) will be monitoring the trials against former-PM (PTI founder) Imran Khan.
According to details when IKs lawyer briefed IPU about legal and constitutional flaws in Toshakhana and £190 million cases against former PM, the global body decided to send a trial observer in order to monitor the judicial proceedings. IPU rep was also told about the 9th May events and the GHQ case.
It is pertinent to mention here that an IPU trial observer failed to meet incarcerated Imran Khan last November. The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) is a global organisation of national parliaments.
