WASHINGTON:  Trump said that military officials informed him before killing Soleimani on third day of January, 2020 at Baghdad airport.

“They’re together sir. Sir, they have two minutes and 11 seconds. Two minutes and 11 seconds to live, sir. They’re in the car, they’re in an armored vehicle. Sir, they have approximately one minute to live, sir. Thirty seconds. Ten, 9, 8 …, ” Trump said he was told by the Military officials.

“Then all of a sudden, boom,” he said. “’They’re gone, sir. Cutting off.’”

According to critics Trump never said he was an imminent danger to the USA instead he said Soleimani was ‘saying bad things about our country’ before the strike, which led to his decision to authorize his killing.

Soleimani’s daughter Zeinab calls Trump crazy

TEHRAN: Daughter of slain Irani General Zeinab Soleimani has warned: “Crazy Trump, don’t think that everything is over with my father’s martyrdom.”

Addressing the nation on state TV she said Soleimani’s death would bring a dark day for the US.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of Iranis participated in the funeral procession held here today.

The coffins of Soleimani and Iraqi militia leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were passed across the heads of mourners, many of them chanting Death to America. It was the first time Iran had honored a man with a multi-city ceremony.

Even founder of Islamic Republic Ayatollah Ruhollah did not receive such a procession when he died in 1989. Soleimani will be buried in his hometown of Kerman.

While Iran has promised to avenge the killing of national hero Soleimani, Trump in return had threatened to hit 52 Iranian sites, including cultural targets. Iraq’s rival Shia leaders, including ones opposed to Iranian influence, have united since Friday’s attack in calling for the expulsion of US troops.

New head of the Quds Force, Esmail Qaani, the Revolutionary Guards’ unit in charge of activities abroad, maintaining that Iran would continue Soleimani’s path noted: “The only compensation for us would be to remove America from the region.”

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei himself led the funeral prayers of Soleimani  who was reckoned as the second most powerful figure in Iran. Furthermore, Iran has taken back the commitments under a 2015 nuclear deal with six important powers. Washington has since imposed tough sanctions on Iran.

Trump stated: “They’re allowed to kill our people. They’re allowed to torture and maim our people. They’re allowed to use roadside bombs and blow up our people. And we’re not allowed to touch their cultural sites? It doesn’t work that way.”

Democratic critics maintained that Trump was reckless in authorizing the strike. There are many who believe targeting cultural sites would be a war crime.

Trump also threatened sanctions against Iraq. He said if US troops were forced to leave the country, Iraq’s government would have to pay Washington for the cost of air base there.

Iran has announced revenge of Qasem Soleimani’s death stating that they would soon turn America’s temporary happiness into mourning.

Why was Qasem Soleimani in Iraq at the time of his assassination? 

According to Adel Abdul-Mahdi Iraq’s caretaker Prime Minister, Qasem Soleimani, was in Baghdad in order to reach a diplomatic agreement  between Saudi Arabia and Iran. He was also supposed to discuss de-escalating tensions between the two countries.

Qassem Soleimani snapped shaking hands with General Mirza Aslam Beg back in 1989. He was one of the 200 Irani Revolutionary Guards who came to Pakistan for SSG training.

Soleimani Murder: Iran abandons nuke deal

TEHRAN: Retaliating to the murder of its general (Souleimani) via US drones Iran has stated that it would not abide by any of the limits of its unraveling 2015 nuclear deal with world powers ending an accord that blocked Tehran from having enough material to build an atomic weapon.

Meanwhile,  enormous crowd of citizens participated at Janaza (funeral ceremony) of the slain general Soleiman. President Hassan Rouhani’s administration (without elaborating on what levels it would immediately reach) maintained that the country would not observe limitations on its enrichment, the amount of stockpiled enriched uranium as well as research and development in its nuclear activities. Iran said that its cooperation with the IAEA would continue as before.

Did Trump attack Baghdad to evade impeachment?

KARACHI: Cynics go haywire wondering whether President Donald Trump attacked Baghdad to evade impeachment the way Bill Clinton did?

While there are protests ongoing in over 70 American cities today (Sunday 5th day of January, 2020) following the drone strikes that killed Iranian military commander Qasem Soleimani,  Trump took to the Twitter threatening to hit 52 Iranian targets in response to any retaliation from Tehran:

“Iran is talking very boldly about targeting certain USA assets as revenge for our ridding the world of their terrorist leader who had just killed an American, & badly wounded many others, not to mention all of the people he had killed over his lifetime, including recently hundreds of Iranian protesters. He was already attacking our Embassy, and preparing for additional hits in other locations. Iran has been nothing but problems for many years.

“Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD. The USA wants no more threats!They attacked us, & we hit back.

“If they attack again, which I would strongly advise them not to do, we will hit them harder than they have ever been hit before! The United States just spent Two Trillion Dollars on Military Equipment. We are the biggest and by far the BEST in the World! If Iran attacks an American Base, or any American, we will be sending some of that brand new beautiful equipment their way and without hesitation!”

Pakistan will not allow its land to be used against any country: 

Commenting on the state-of affairs Director General Inter Services Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor has said Pakistan would not allow its land to be used against any country.

DG ISPR made it clear that Pakistan, that stood for peace, would not become part of any action that undermines the regional stability. Reminding that Pakistan had played a significant role in Afghan reconciliation process he stated that the country was making all out efforts for regional peace.

Maintaining that the situation had changed after the US attack that claimed seven lives including that of General Qasem Soleimani, Major General Asif Ghafoor informed that  US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo held telephonic communication with COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa in which the army chief emphasized to reduce tensions between regional countries.
