TEHRAN: Foreign Ministry of Iran on Saturday (9th November, 2024) has denied the allegations that his government was behind a plot against Trump, calling it totally unfounded.

It is pertinent to mention here that a day earlier American prosecutors announced charges in a plot allegedly hatched by Iran to eliminate Donald Trump and a (dissident) Irani-US Media person.

It has been alleged that the plot was masterminded by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in order to avenge the death of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.

Department maintains that Iran-based 51-year-old Afghan national Farhad Shakeri was tasked with providing a plan to kill Trump. According to details he immigrated to the US as a child. He was convicted for a robbery and incarcerated for 14 years. As soon as he served his sentence, Farhad Shakeri was deported in 2008.
