WASHINGTON: Italian PM Giorgia Meloni called on US President Donald Trump here Thu (17th April, 2025) to make ‘West Great Again” amid optimism that an EU-US trade deal could be worked out over the Republican’s market-shaking tariffs.
While Trump was 100% sure that there will be a deal, Meloni (who happens to be the first European leader to meet Trump apropos the Tariffs War), stated: “Even if we have some problems between the two shores of the Atlantic, it is the time that we try to sit down and find solutions.”
