Judicial remand of 8 ACLC officials, involved in the murder of 19-year-old pupil, extended!

KARACHI: Remand of the 8 CPLC personnel involved in the murder of a 19-year-old pupil Intezar Ahmed (studying in Malaysia) has been extended by Judicial Magistrate South till 27th of January.                                           Meanwhile, since father of the victim has expressed his dissatisfaction over the probe, case has been handed over to Counter-Terrorism Department.   According to details the victim was chased and shot dead on 14th of January, by nine plainclothes policemen when he did not stop at a security post. While eight suspects were nabbed, the ninth remains out on bail.

In the absence of an all out and transparent investigation, rumours are making rounds. One conspiracy theory is that since the girl wgo was travelling with the victim is not being questioned she could either be involved in the crime or is the reason of the murder.

It is pertinent to mention here that the ongoing judicial inquiry is being carried out on the orders of the Provincial CM.
