CHICAGO: 59-year-old Vice President of USA Kamala Harris accepted the Democratic presidential nomination here on Thursday (23rd Aug, 2924).

Accusing Trump of trying to take USA backwards she said: “On behalf of everyone whose story could only be written in the greatest nation on earth, I accept your nomination to be president of the United States of America…I will be a president who unites us around our highest aspirations.”

Kamala Harris (the highest-ranking woman in US history), has effectively secured the Democratic party’s presidential nomination on 2nd August, 2024. The first S. Asian woman in the history of US to secure such a nomination, Kamala Harris said: “I am honored to be the presumptive Democratic nominee for president of the United States.”
