Karachi to receive heavy rains

KARACHI: According to a weather advisory issued by PMD the Metropolis will receive scattered heavy and very heavy rains on Sunday (24th of July, 2022). 

PMD informed that a strong Monsoon currents have commenced entering the Eastern part of the Province of Sindh and will prevail till Wednesday (27th of July, 2022).

Besides Karachi,  Tharparker, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Thatta, Tando M Khan, Tando Allayar, Hyderabad, Matiari, Sanghar, Nawabshah, Khairpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Shikarpur, Qambar Shahdadkot, Ghotki and Kashmore will experience widespread very heavy rains from 23rd till 27th day of July.

Citoyens have been warned by PMD about urban flooding in the low-lying areas of Karachi, Hyderabad, Matiari, Thatta, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Tharparker, Tando M Khan, Tando Allayar, Sanghar, Nawabshah, Dadu, Jamshoro, Kambar Shahdadkot, Larkana and Sukkur.

Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman has informed that rains this year in the Province of Sindh have broken thirty-year records.
